Today we learned about slope-intercept form, which is a form of linear equation. Slope-intercept form is y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Check out the slides below from today's notes. If you still need help, check the videos under the notes!
The y-intercept is the point where a line crosses the y-axis. We can find the y-intercept from a graph, from an equation, and from a table or list of ordered pairs. The y-intercept tells us the beginning or starting point.
Today we looked at slope, which is how much slant a line has. There are 4 types of slope. Slope describes the rate of change in a situation.
