Also, there is a review of the important vocabulary below. If you haven't made your flashcards yet, get them done! :)
Today we learned about the angles on the outside of the triangle, which are called exterior angles. We also learned that each exterior angle has two remote interior angles, which are the angles inside of the triangle that are far away from the exterior angle. Imagine you are sitting on the exterior angle; you would need a remote to change a TV in the remote interior angles because they are just too far away. :) Also, there is a review of the important vocabulary below. If you haven't made your flashcards yet, get them done! :) Today we talked about the angles in a triangle. We learned that all the angles in a triangle add up to 180*. We used a lot of our algebra skills today, too! Check out the notes below, and the videos from class if you'd like, then get your homework done!
Today we started topic 11, which focuses on Geometric Reasoning. Today's lesson was all about angle relationships. We reviewed some angle relationships that we learned about in 7th grade, and we learned about some new relationships too. These videos are a great review of everything we discussed in class today. Notes from today are also in the slide show below.
Today we connected our knowledge about dilations and similar figures to our previous knowledge about slope. A dilation creates similar figures. Similar figures have the same slope. The notes are below. Make sure you have 10-3 Homework done tonight! Today we continued talking about dilations. We learned that after a figure is dilated, the image and the original are similar meaning that they have the same shape but not the same size. We practiced figuring out what sequence of transformations could get us from one figure to its image. The notes are below, along with a couple of videos to help you review.
