Today we learned about having mathematical arguments. When we try to prove something in math, we back up our statements with mathematical reasons like definitions, properties, and facts. Screenshots of our notes are below. Homework is 12-1 online.
Today we talked about similar triangles. Remember from Topic 10 that two figures are similar if they are the same shape but different sizes. We can use our knowledge of angles to prove that two triangles are similar. Triangles are similar IF they have two pairs of congruent angles. Sometimes we have to use our other angle knowledge to help us figure out if angles are congruent. Take a look at our notes in the slideshow below.
